THE SHINING SEQUENCE PRINTS
The Shining Sequence is a series of 9 xylography monotype prints that form part of the Ghost Variations project. These works are the result of the artist’s transcription of “Geistervariationen” by Robert Schumann (1810–1856) and can be seen by the viewer as nighttime seascapes. The poetic qualities of the music find their reverberation within the work’s printed lines and dots—what at first glance seems to be an abstraction could be a visualization of something ephemeral in a tangible way.
