NIGHT SHINING MURAL

Night Shining Mural was a temporary work commissioned by a marketing agency. The piece covered the walls of the foyer of home from the 1910s with custom made wallpaper from a wood cut I had done. Once the wallpaper was applied to the walls the surface was incised with lines and scratched with large compass strokes. Parts of the mural were then accented with colorful gradients of enamel paint. Lastly, the paper was sanded, creating a glowing affect around points of light, creating the illusion of a night sky.
