SELECTED MONOTYPE COLLAGES
In recent years, I began making large format editions of the small collages that fill my sketchbooks. Each work is a unique combination of digital prints, fragments of works on paper, and found objects. I also intervene in the works by sanding or scratching the paper and by adding paint gradients, pen and colored pencil. Finally, each work is floated in a wood frame that I produce and hand paint in the studio. The date of many works spans several years, for example, 2016-2022. The first date marks when the original collage was made and the second date refers to the creation of the large format version of the original collage.
